The Ancient Egyptians influenced modern day life in many ways, some of the reasons why they have such an impact on our life is because they invented a lot of creative and useful tools that we take for granted and use everyday. We would be lost without the tools and simple inventions that the ancient Egyptians created, like the vase and the plow and even paper. Overall, the Ancient Egyptians have made a huge impact on modern day life, Their creations changed everything from fashion to agriculture so drastically that we still see their influence today.
So far we have considered a series of worthy reasons why ancient Egypt is important to the modern world. Egypt offers inspiration, stimulation, valuable knowledge and an insight into our own modern culture. One very important reason, however, has been overlooked. The study of Egyptian art, of genealogy or hieroglyphs, is above all, however, the greatest of fun.

Inventions we use to this day
- The Ancient Egyptians were master inventors. We would be lost without the inventions that they created, and if we didn’t use those inventions our life would be so much different than it is today.
- Medicine and religion have a big part to play in our modern life. We need medicine to stay healthy and every country has a religious beliefs. These two things are a very important part of our society and our life would be very different without them.
- The Ancient Egyptians created paper and writing which contribute daily to helping our world function. Without writing, we wouldn’t be able to keep track of records, we wouldn’t be able to keep track of people if they were in need of medical help and we would have to remember everything that everyone told us.
- The Ancient Egyptians were the first people to use math. Even though they may not have been accurate, they still started the concept and as time progressed it became more accurate. Math is a very important topic because without it we wouldn't be able to calculate anything and a lot of calculations would be inaccurate because everyone would be using different concepts. Also, life would be confusing without math and numbers.
- The Ancient Egyptians also invented the calender and days in a week and how many weeks in a month and months in a year. If they wouldn't have made the calendar system we wouldn't be able to keep track of the days and no one would know their birthday. Also, it would be hard to plan and to record events.
- The Egyptians thought of many different types of sports like, swimming, boxing, archery, gymnastics, high jump, weightlifting, marathons, wrestling, javelin throwing, hunting, rowing, an assortment of ball games and board games. Most people enjoy playing these games and several take place in the olympics and/or other major sporting events.
- The Ancient Egyptians built massive temples, monuments and pyramids. Some of the architecture skills used by the Egyptians are still used today.
- The Ancient Egyptians had questions about the afterlife, what happens when you die, and if gods existed. So they invented a religion that they strongly believed in and followed through in their beliefs and worshiped their gods, just like we do today. If they wouldn't have created these religions we would have different beliefs today.
- Medicine and religion have been a large part of our lifestyle. Can you imagine a life without religion or medicine? Life would be so much different because many people would die of disease and our day to day life would change drastically if we had different religious beliefs.
